If you ask God to purify your heart.
You will find the crucible is uncomfortable.
If you ask God to reveal your true motives...
You will discover the nasty within.
If you ask God to humble your heart....
He will let you display your ignorance.
If you ask God to teach you His ways...
You will discover it is hard work.
Yet in all of the purification, crucifying of idols, humbling of heart, and becoming obedient there is a joy that is inexpressible. The Believers heart delights in the faithfulness and gentleness of the Father. In the midst of bitter tears there is great jubilee taking confidence in His promise to bring us to completion at the day of Christ Jesus.
