Just a thought. The verse below is speaking of Jesus. It is
pulled out of a passage where Peter admonishes us to be subject to
"every human institution" because it is "the will of God" and it will
"put to silence" foolish people. We are told to submit to both
authority both good and bad then Jesus is given as an example "so that you might follow in his steps".
When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.
Look at the word continued. In other versions it say committed or entrusted- placed into the possession of another. Christ, who is God, entrusted- an act- Himself to Him who judges justly. How much more should we do so? Let us follow in His steps who was given to us as an example.
A question for you. How do we commit/entrust ourselves to God?
great question. i'm going to be thinking about it. and i love your resolved music. have you been able to go to any of the conferences?
ReplyDeleteI have not gotten to go to any of them. School and finances have hindered me thus far.
