Update

My check from school came in this week.
I've been thinking on what to do with it.
First off you should know I'm a bit of a tightwad. Ok, maybe a big tightwad.
I buy things for other people but I tend not to blow money on myself.
Especially not on food. [Hello! Food goes away!]

There are two things though, that I am going to buy with this money.
[unless I change my mind...again]
1. Dental loupes
This is actually a need.
2.  An SLR Camera

A want.

I am consulting my photography buddy/gurus to determine which brand/camera is best for me.

For those who want to know...
School is going well.  I gave my first injections Friday and *LOVED* it.
Class work is pleasurable and most of my teachers are really good at what they do.
In clinic it looks as if I will not be short of having a patient in my chair.
My problem is going to be having the right patient and actually having slots to finish working on the ones I start. Praying that one through.
I failed by first patient ever on Wednesday.
I'm blaming it on being sick 'cause guess what?!
I was sick last week end all the way up to Wednesday afternoon.

I moved bell choir to Sunday evenings because I'm not able to make it to church on Wednesday evenings. :(
The girls and I are working on "When I survey the Wondrous Cross" from
this hymnal
2008 update

It has 3 or 4 key changes and beautiful chord progressions and all that stuff that I know how to read but have no clue what it is technically called.
It is hard but it is going to sound awesome.
One of my girlies is having trouble getting lost. We are going to have to work on that an extra amount.
Another of them can follow along great just so long as she uses her finger to keep her place.
I love it!

Btw, these are the bells we use.

Ya'll would be amazed at how good these dinky looking bells sound.
Especially when they fly through "Carol of the Bells".
We are hoping to be able to get an upgrade though.
My girls are too old to be holding these tee tiny things.

I need to go brush my teeth and wash my face.
Clinic is tomorrow. Aerobic too.

Edit: Don't forget to work on this week's verse!
If you didn't see last week's it was 1 Peter 1:3. I am slowly but surely going to memorize the whole book...

  1. I don't know what all you want to get out of your new camera, but I have a Nikon D3000 and I have really loved it. As I save up, I'll probably be in the market for a new one and a slight step up by the end of the year, but as far as beginner DSLR's go, it's a good one.

And your goal for memorizing all of I Peter is inspiring! Well done my friend!!!!

    Here's to a great week!

  3. I have a friend with a really nice camera...not sure of the name but she bought the body on e-bay for CHEAP and has about $1000 in it with lenses now (over time) and her set up is very impressive.
