Memory Verse

I updated the verses for the week.

I left verse six and added seven and eight.

6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,

  1 Peter 1:6-8

Even if you aren't memorizing these with me, my challenge to you is to read this periodically and really chew on it. Ask the LORD to sink these words deep into your heart and transform your mind. 

I realized at some point last week how futile it is for me to memorize these verses just as I would a poem.

I need to chew on it, pray it through, preach it to myself as David preached to himself.
